Figures
Gobots Psycho
I’ve been getting into the Transformers lately, and have purchased a couple of the Hasbro figures in various sizes to see what I like. I’ve also been listening to a few of the TF podcasts trying to find an active, interesting show and while listening to the WTF@TFW podcast I heard them talking about the Gobots line.
The Gobots are apparently an older, transforming vehicle-to-robot line/show(?) and one of the podcast hosts (@Vangelus [ed. actually @Gogdog on second listen]) described his having received a Gobots Psycho recently. It sounded interesting, and as the concept is similar I thought I’d get one to look at as well.
Hopefully it will arrive this week. If nice, I’ve got my eye on another in the line.
Vinylmation: Orange / Red Gears
Was snooping on Ebay the other day and found several more Disney vinylmation characters based on a gears theme. Ordered a couple of them and they arrived within a few days. These are nice too and make items number 3 and 4 in the vinylmation collection.
Series: Urban # 3
Artist: Dan Howard
Vinylmation #2: Clock Tower
While I was at the Disney store purchasing the previously mentioned vinylmation figure I actually bought a second so that it could be given to me for Christmas. Well, that event occurred and I now know that it is the Clock Tower figure by Eric Caszatt. This figure too is part of the Have a Laugh series.
Gotta love these things!
Vinylmation #1: Swimsuit Goofy
Saw these on Ebay several months ago and while we were out Christmas shopping I decided to see if the local Disney store had them in stock. They now do, so I picked up a couple to see what they were like.
These are nice, solid vinyl figures. Some of the series come in boxes with display panels so you can actually see the figure your are purchasing, but other series come blindboxed. This figure is from the Have-a-Laugh! series of 12 figures. It comes in a nice secure box and the figure inside is secured in a foil pouch to doubly ensure that you do not know which one you are getting.
After making my way through all of the packaging, I was awarded with my first vinylmation figure, a Swimsuit Goofy:
More are likely on the way
Monsters from Japan
Took advantage of a sale at Super 7 to finally pick up my first Deathra figure. I’ve been looking at these for awhile at various sites, but since it was on sale I figured it was time to purchase one. I also ordered the little Pocket Zagoran, which I hope they still have stock on. More information on all these little beasties can be found at skullbrain.org (though the forum is read only as membership registration seems b0rked).

Update (24 December 2010): 20 days later, and 12 dollars in postage for USPS Priority shipping and the figures still have not arrived. Not exactly happy with this situation.
